Oh, they just keep getting better and better!

Being stuck outside on a 12x12 plot of land while running for your lives may not be the perfect first date, but it worked for Linc and Ava. Their story was dangerous, action packed, and chock full of yummy sexual tension.

I liked Ava's drive. She's a bit of a damaged daddy's girl, but she doesn't get whiny about it. She takes action and goes to get answers. And Lincoln is pure Alpha Male - he has heart, he has strength, he's courageous and kind and protective, but he's also got that bit of bad boy edge that makes you melt. The two of them together were fun. They danced around each other so well that by the time they finally gave into their desires, the tension was so thick it was like this massive reading relief. LOL

I really liked Vincent (the hero of Wild Fever), but Linc is totally my new book boyfriend! He can polish his Bowie knives around me any day. :)

This is the second book in the Chiasson series and I am happier with the ending then the first book. While the first book was abrupt abd ended suddenly, this time around a little more backstory was provided. This gives me hope that the third will be even better. If you have tried the first and was disappointed with the anticlimactic ending, I would advise you to try again. Read this second go-around and see for yourself. Spoiler Alert: One of my issues, and maybe I'm looking for too much, is that if these brothers only hunt the supernatural and don't actually have jobs, how do the survive. Like I said, I ask too much, but I do like to get a well rounded story that doesn't leave odd questions floating around in my brain, lol.

The illustrations are pencil and not very detailed. To look up specific anatomical items requires going to several pages. Not a quick reference work.

Short, Thought Provoking, and Inspiring

Paul has a way with words that makes him clear, understandable, and real. Paul's voice is very down to earth, humble, and unafraid of promoting other people's work that he truly believes in.

One thing that I really enjoyed about this book was the level of actionable, practical advice that he offers, down to the very tools and things that he uses to organize his thoughts.

I've always had trouble curating and focusing the content that I read and listen to on a daily basis, and I've lately been thinking about how to spend less time reading what other people have to say and thinking for myself. Paul's thoughts on curating my channels has definitely helped with that.

Additionally, the commonplace book is something that I have been thinking about for a while, and this book has helped inspire me to enhance and grow my organization of that notebook.

Paul is truly an amazing writer, and this short read is definitely worth the money!

Connecting the Dots is going to blow your mind.
If you think learning is about going to college or a specific course and get good grades and good feedback from your teacher, this book is going to open your mind.
Paul Jung talks about how responsible you are for your own learning and how Internet today makes access to information an entire trip to a self knowledge and inter knowledge acquirement.
Then, when you’re amazed by all his thoughts, you have explained in details how you collect, organize and go through all the information that there is in one single click.
The book is going to blow your mind, change your point of view and it will help you to organize all the information you’ll get in an educational way.

This book would be great to hand out to every high school and college student-- the advice is so helpful. So many students think in "boxes"-- they don't stop to consider the connections between the diverse subjects they are studying. This book helps them think in a new way and consider the connections and patterns between everything they are learning.

Many warm-blooded creatures hibernate when it is cold out and go with their natural instincts by doing so. They do not enter the spring season stressed out; rather, animals waking up from hibernation are coming to sleepily, well rested and ready for the warmer season; so, why don’t we?

We would not go to sleep for months on end, but perhaps we can take a leaf out of their book and make each winter a mental spa time of rejuvenation, beauty and pleasure.

I decided to write this book as a kind of insurance, to remind me of my exciting winter plans. It is easy to be enthusiastic about the winter season when the leaves are turning. Fall fashions are always fun to look forward to, even for a non-fashionista like me – the September issue of Vogue! I can rekindle my love for the colours of plum, navy and camel at this time of year. But a few months later the novelty has already worn off.

This book is also a toolkit of all the ideas that have worked so well in previous winters, as well as new ideas I want to capture. I started this book in autumn, and am now finishing it up in spring. I am so pleased to have tried all my ideas out in a ‘test’ environment!

Great encouragement for anyone

I've really enjoyed reading "How to be Chic in the Winter." I've been surprised by how thoroughly Fiona Ferris considered the subject and all of its facets. She managed to make many very useful and thoughtful points while writing with a casual, accessible style.

Fiona had my attention early, when she wrote "Please do not wish away the cold season, because that means you are wishing your life away; why not enjoy yourself instead?" This book isn't just about winter, folks! It's about our attitudes and our choices at every challenging turn of life. Fiona's suggestions can apply even if you enjoy the cooler months -- her themes hold true if you hate hot weather instead, or if you're struggling in a less than optimal workplace, or dealing with a chronic illness. Her ideas and encouragement to THRIVE in all circumstances can apply to anyone. I will definitely be re-reading Fiona's book and sharing it with my friends.

It had everything in it!

When AP exams finally come along, many students realize (like myself and my friends), that we crammed the material before each class exam but never really committed it to memory. So, to save ourselves from getting lousy scores, we turn to prep books. Barron's has served me well in the past, so my friends and I all bought copies of this before the AP...and it was a lifesaver.

Spending about four hours a day the week before the exam with this book worked wonders! It explained every statistical concept that we'd learned previously in a very clear, cogent manner (in fact, I really felt like I'd learned something after I read this). And, in true Barron's fashion, it left nothing untouched. From regression equations to chi-square tests, this book covers it all. And not only do you get a review of the material, you really get a comprehensive treatment of the material but in a less "frilly" and frivolous manner, so you don't have to wade through hundreds of lines of silly talk as is seen in so many textbooks.

So, after reading this book and doing ALL of the exercises (they're harder than the real thing, so if you practice with these, you'll be set), I was well prepared for the AP statistics exam. When I took it, there wasn't a thing on there that I didn't know how to do, and it's largely thanks to this book!

If you're looking to learn AP stats independently or are looking to brush up on course material before exams, then don't waste your time with any other stats book...read this one, and get that 5!

I only used the practice tests in this book

I took the AP Statistics test almost two years ago but I still remember how this book helped me prep for it because I found it so helpful. Before, all the equations were jumbled up in my head but after going through practice test after practice test from this book, I felt more and more confident. When I took the test, I breezed through it and ended up with a 5. The reason I didn't give 5 stars to this book is that the practice tests weren't exactly like the actual test. But that's not a big deal because the practice tests were good preparation anyway, and I don't think any other book has more accurate tests. After all, the AP Statistics test has only been around a few years. My teacher is the one who gave us the practice tests from this book and he is a grader of the AP test so he's someone you can trust.

Who needs a professor?

As a busy professional going back to school to earn that overpriced piece of paper we call a B.S., I had no time to BS with the "generals" we all learned (if we were paying attention) in Jr. High.

To eliminate the Math requirement, I picked up this book, as well as "The Best Review for the CLEP General Exams". I spent two evenings-about an hour per night-reviewing Algebra and Geometry. Then I spent another two nights-an hour a piece-with this book studying Statistics.

Of course I didn't read the entire book in two hours, but I had studied enough to pass the math requirement and saved myself 6-12 months of agony and several thousand dollars.

I highly recommend this book for anyone (like me) who wasn't listening much in 8th, 9th, 10, 11th or 12th grade math. To those who ARE taking their 8th grade classes seriously: Don't study too hard, or you'll have nothing new to learn at University. ;)
