Although this book is a part of a series, you do not need to have read the others. I think that my thirteen year old self would love this book. This book reminded me a lot of How To Lose A Guy in Ten Days. You have the main guy who has entered into a bet to make the girl fall for him, and the girl who's determined to make the main guy look like a fool. It's not a bad read, it's just not for me anymore. It's cute and has all the classic trappings of a preteen/teen romcom. It's just filled with the usual cliches that come with these types of books and films that I'm not a fan of anymore.

I feel like the best thing to compare this book to is ...

I feel like the best thing to compare this book to is cotton candy. I felt like I was walking through clouds of pink sugary fluff while reading this book. There were so many cute scenes in this book, and I ate it up! I found the romance to be really sweet, even though it felt a tad fast passed. I definitely said "awww" out loud during this book. If you love cute YA romances, then you definitely will get your fill of that with this book.

This book was also extremely funny! I genuinely laughed at some of the situations or dialogue through out this book. Some of the funniest moments were when Daisy was doing things to get back at Trevin. I really enjoyed that aspect of the book. I thought her revenge plot was funny and cute. However, sometimes I felt like she was acting a little bit immature. She was so hot and cold with Trevin. I wish she would have stuck with the revenge plot a little bit more in the beginning, and then developed more feelings for him. I was annoyed with her going back and forth between liking him and hating him. I just wish she had figured out her feelings sooner so there would have been even more cute scenes between her and Trevin.

I thought Trevin was a really sweet character. He was definitely adorable and swoon worthy. I would compare him to a cupcake because he was just that sweet! My only complaint with Trevin was that he was really oblivious and kind of dumb. I have no clue why he even made the bet in the first place or why he didn't drop the bet. It was obvious that the bet was not going to end well, but he kept it up anyway.

I thought the plot of this book was fun, even though it was a little bit predictable. The predictability of the plot didn't really bother me, because I was really enjoying myself while reading this book. I really liked seeing all of the members of the band, and I can't wait to see the other boys get their own books. I found myself falling in love with each boy in the band. I also really enjoyed the family aspect to the book. It was nice to see the family dynamics with Daisy's family and Trevin's family.

There was something super addictive about this book, and I don't know what it was. I could not put this book down! I wanted to see how everything would play out.

Overall, I really did enjoy this book. I felt like it was a fun and cute read. It was a great summer read. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet YA romance. I really do not think this book will disappoint.

I’ve fallen hard for this series & love that I’ve had the opportunity to read the books ...

Daisy and the Front Man is the third book in the Backstage Pass series, a series that follows the five members of the boyband, Seconds to Juliet. I must say, I’ve fallen hard for this series & love that I’ve had the opportunity to read the books pretty much back-to-back. What I love most about this series is that each book is written by a different author, which has allowed me to revisit familiar authors and meet new. Daisy and the Front Man is written by Rebekah L. Purdy and is the first book that I’ve read from her.

Daisy wins a contest which allows her to pick a S2J member to attend homecoming with her. It’s no question which band member she will pick, so when the day comes, she’s anxiously awaiting the arrival of Trevin to take her to her high school homecoming dance, but when he doesn’t show, she’s devastated. A year later & still feeling the burn of Trevin standing her up, she finds out she gets to spend the summer with her dad, who happens to be a bodyguard for S2J. Daisy doesn’t think twice about whether or not she will go, but immediately starts thinking of ways to get her revenge.

Trevin is a the oldest of the band and at the age of 18, has the responsibility of making sure the other guys behave. When the daughter of one of the body guard joins them on tour for the summer, Trevin is immediately taken back by how she acts around him. He can’t figure out what he did to make this girl so made, but he is determined to change her mind about him.

Trevin is a genuinely nice guy. I immediately found myself liking him and how he treated Daisy. However, the premise of the bet he makes with fellow bandmate, Ryder, I wasn’t a fan. It was obvious though (to me) that his actions weren’t based on this bet with Ryder. I felt he truly cared about Daisy and wanted to make her happy. There were times I even forgot a bet was involved unless it was mentioned because it was obvious that Trevin really liked Daisy.

Aside from the bet, there were many, many things I loved about this book in the series. This book was funny. Daisy begins to pull pranks on Trevin as part of her revenge, but of course, he only blames Ryder, the prankster of the band. I also loved that Daisy was able to rebuild the relationship with her dad, Beau. She’s always thought that men in her life would leave, especially since she has rarely seen her dad since her parents divorce, and losing her grandfather a year ago. Being able to spend the summer with Trevin who hurt her, but is trying to prove to her he is a good guy, and being able to see her dad in a new light, really helped her to overcome that fear.

There is so much I love about this book and the series in general. I truly cannot wait to read the next in the series. If you haven’t read these books yet, I highly recommend that you do. Especially if you had/have a thing for boybands. Each book will leave you swooning & wishing S2J were a real band.

I am a Poppet Disciple

I won a copy of this book for my kindle.

I am a huge fan of this series and could not wait to start Bratva, and I was not disappointed.
The first thing that ran through my mind when I finished this book was OMG WTF did I just read. I loved this book, and the could not put it down till I finished. I hooked from page one till the end. Poppet makes you feel everything Polina is going through and you cant help but want her to be ok. Then there is Mikah. I wanted to hate him but sometimes he would do something and you thing ah so sweet. The wham nope hate him again. As a bonus there is a visit from my favorite Alpha's Fallen Angle (SIGH)
Poppet's ability to pull you into the story and the characters is amazing. You will never be bored reading anything she writes

I can't wait for the next book, and will try to curb my fangirl stalker persona of Poppet till then. Maybe not!!!

PS PLEASE PLESASE READ AND HEED THE WARRING... If dark themes are not your thing this book is not for you. If you love very dark then I suggest that you start this book ASAP

We are never free...

I was gifted a direct to kindle copy.

This book or rather the entire series should come with an obscene amount of warning labels. If you can't handle dark, brutal, awful things then read another book. There are no rainbows or sunshine in this book, depending on how you look at things.

There was no sleeping or putting this novel down until it was finished. Poppet has a way of pulling you into the story, making you live the lives of her characters. Mikah, what a ridiculous disciple. He is every woman's wet dream. He's gorgeous, huge, rich and he's a rockstar. Who doesn't love that? Mikah has secrets. The bands lovers are hardly ever heard from again.

Polina, I love her. She's stronger than you think. I kept thinking that maybe she really was weak, than I got to the end. Proved me wrong, Poppet, you proved me wrong. I cannot wait to see what happens in the 5th installment.

O.M.G. This is definitely a favorite out of the series.

Bratva is the 5th book in The Darkroom Saga, these need to be read in order. Poppet has built a religious cult that reaches far and wide, we've witnessed different perspectives centered around this religious cult, ran by god aka Alpha. Some of the books are less involved with 'god' but rather centered around the abuse and his teachings. Which oddly enough are in fact the scriptures from the old testament. We've witnessed many woman fall victim to these disciples, forced to fall at the feet of their of their savior. Sick, yes. Horrific, yes. Addictive, absolutely. I can't begin to tell you how horrendous these teachings go. You simply need to start from the beginning and prepare for a dark, twisted, disgusting ride. Every book is a different yet similar in all its insanity.

Why Bratva is a favorite. Hmm. Almost all these women are strong, naive, but strong because of the abuse they accept. I actually wanted to throw my kindle so many times. Fear is sometimes the bars on your windows. And so I would try to have sympathy for each victim. Polina was a fighter from the start, her inner monologue was that of someone darker than I expected. Not so easily broken nor brainwashed. I was jumping up and down, clapping my hands, and hoping this one was going to break the mold. She is an absolute favorite character from this series. She took my breath away.

I can't go into much detail because of spoilers. But let me tell you. The end is coming and I expect their to be bloodshed of epic proportions. I'm completely hooked, like they've brainwashed me too. I need the next book like Adam needed Eve.

the Bible of Pranic Healing!

I have been practicing Pranic Healing for 3years now. Have taken many training courses. This book is the Bible.
I also have the hardcover but for traveling purposes bought the e-book for the hardcover is much too heavy to carry. You never know when you will need it!
Just buy it if you are a practitioner!
